Building Communities
Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou — Each contributes, together we flourish
We warmly invite you to join us for the South Island Bahá’í Summer School 2026, a joyful opportunity to gather, learn, reflect and strengthen bonds of friendship and community. We very much hope that some of the friends from the North Island can attend.
Building on last year’s focus on family, this year’s Summer School will explore community as a potent source of hope in the world around us. Through shared learning, conversation, fellowship and activities for all ages, participants will have an opportunity to consider how each of us can contribute to building vibrant, supportive and outward-looking communities.
The Summer School is hosted by the Christchurch Local Spiritual Assembly, in collaboration with the Dunedin Local Spiritual Assembly.
Everyone is welcome
The Bahá’í Summer School is open to all. Friends, colleagues, neighbours and families are warmly invited, including those who are engaged in or interested in community-building activities.
Summer School Taskforce
A taskforce has been appointed to coordinate the programme and practical arrangements for the Summer School:
- Afsaneh Howey — Timaru
- Peter Manins — Dunedin, Convenor
- Faola de Montgomery — Clutha District
For any questions about the Summer School, please contact the Taskforce Team at [email protected]
